This is a small, marble, hexagonal pool at the entrance to the kitchen. A marble, lion-headed faucet lets water into the pool, giving it, its more pupular name, the lion's pool. Every year on the anniversary of Mevlana's death- the night of union- Seb-i Arus- the dervishes gathered around the pool, if it was summer's night, to talk, take part in a banquet and perform the sema.
