Sinan The Architect :: Civil Engineering Works Bridges

The Sultan Suleyman Bridge at Buyukcekmece (1565-67) consists of four bridges of different sizes, adding up to a total length of 636 m. It is the only brid- ge to carry an inscription with Sinan's name.

The Haramidere Kapi Agasi Bridge (date unknown) is 75 m long, single-hum- ped with three arches.

The Alpullu / Sinanli Sokollu Mehmet Pasha Bridge (date unknown) is the wi- dest spanned bridge built by Sinan, with the bay of its central arch measuring 20.5 m. It is single-humped and has a total of five arches, with a total length of 130 m.
