Above the door leading from the outer narthex to the inner narthex, we see the representation of the scene of the Virgin taking the skeins of wool to weave the veil for the temple.

At the left of the temple, we see three priests seated on a divan. The priest sitting at the primary position holds in his hand a skein of purple wool. He is giving the wool to the Virgin, who is standing at the middle of the scene, with a halo over her head, clad in a long dress in blue. Behind Mary, stand six virgins attired in colourful costumes, watching over this scene.

The naturalness of the people on the panel, as regards to their standing and behaviour, as well as the beauty and fineness of the composition itself, point out the adroitness and success of the artist, who made the mosaic panel.
